A Journey Supported by Experience

Medical tourism support begins long before the trip itself. It starts with gathering information, asking questions, understanding the possibilities, limitations, and risks, and taking the time to decide whether this path truly feels right for you.

When someone chooses to move forward, a medical journey then requires organization, coordination, and above all, an experienced team you can rely on.

Over the years, the Voyages Renaissance team has supported hundreds of people through their medical tourism journeys. Our knowledge of the field, our travel experience, our network of collaborators, and our own personal experiences with surgery abroad allow us to provide support that is human, proactive, organized, and personalized.

From the first exploration of your project to your return home, every stage is planned and coordinated so that you know what to expect, have access to the information you need to make decisions, and can move forward with clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

Your journey belongs to you. Our role is to inform, guide, and support you every step of the way.

I Explore My Project

It All Begins with Reflection.

Before discussing surgery, dates, or booking arrangements, this first step allows you to discover Voyages Renaissance, understand our approach, and explore your project with no obligation. You take the time to gather information, learn about the services offered, speak with our team, and obtain an initial overview of the possibilities and costs related to your project.

The goal is not to convince you to move forward, but to provide the information you need to determine whether this approach is right for you and whether you would like to proceed to the evaluation stage.

I discover Voyages Renaissance, its approach, its values, and the different types of projects it supports. I review the available information to better understand the process and determine whether it may fit my needs.

At this stage, I explore my options freely and with no obligation. My project begins with information and reflection.

2. I Watch the Introduction Video

I take the time to watch the Voyages Renaissance introduction video to better understand the process, the services offered, and the realities of medical tourism.

The video helps me discover how the support process works, the level of involvement that may be required, and the important elements to consider before deciding whether to move forward.

3. I Meet Andrée-Anne

I schedule an exploratory meeting of approximately 30 minutes with Andrée-Anne to discuss my project, my motivations, my expectations, and my overall situation.

This meeting allows us to get to know each other, answer my initial questions, and determine whether the approach and services offered by Voyages Renaissance align with what I am looking for.

This is not a medical evaluation, but rather a first human and exploratory conversation..

4. I Receive a Preliminary Estimate

Following my meeting with Andrée-Anne, my project is pre-qualified by Voyages Renaissance to continue the process, and I receive a preliminary estimate of the budget to plan for.

Voyages Renaissance carefully selects the projects it supports and looks for compatibility in both directions, particularly regarding expectations, autonomy, collaboration, and the level of involvement required throughout the process.

This pre-qualification concerns the continuation of my journey with Voyages Renaissance. My medical eligibility will be assessed during the next stage.

5. I Reflect on My Project

With the information and preliminary estimate in hand, I take the time to reflect on my budget, financing if needed, the timing that works best for me, the organization of my personal and professional life, and the recovery period to plan for.

Departures are available throughout the year, allowing me to take the time I need, without pressure, before deciding whether I wish to continue.

When I decide to move forward, I choose to invest in the complete evaluation of my project and commit to actively participating in the process: meetings, questionnaires, documents, blood tests or other required examinations, and review of the information provided.

Beginning the evaluation does not mean that my surgery is confirmed. This stage allows independent healthcare professionals to review my file so that I can later make decisions with a more complete understanding of my situation.

My Surgical Journey

My Project Takes Shape, One Step at a Time.

Once I decide to move forward with the evaluation process, my client journey begins. From the review of my file to follow-up after my return home, each stage is structured so I always know where I stand, what comes next, and what is expected of me.

Evaluation, recommendations, decision-making, reservations, preparation, travel, and support: the Voyages Renaissance team coordinates my journey within the scope of its role while working alongside the independent professionals involved in my project.

I remain at the center of my decisions. The role of Voyages Renaissance is to inform, guide, and support me with humanity, organization, and transparency throughout my journey.

1. I Complete My Evaluation

Before booking my trip or confirming a procedure, I complete a medical evaluation.

I complete the required questionnaires, provide information about my health, medical history, and medications, complete any required blood work or examinations, and meet with a nurse by videoconference.

My file is then reviewed by the surgeon and the independent medical team in Mexico, who consider my health status, test results, risk factors, expectations, and the project being considered..

I then receive my evaluation report outlining my eligibility, recommendations, proposed treatment plan, and, where applicable, any additional examinations required. Contracts and documents related to the services offered at this stage are also provided to me so that I can review them before making any commitment.

I now have the medical, organizational, and contractual information necessary to reflect on my project and decide, with full knowledge of the facts, whether I wish to move forward.

2. I Confirm and Prepare

After reviewing my evaluation report, recommendations, and contractual documents, it is up to me to decide whether I wish to continue with my project.

If I choose to move forward, I confirm my reservation, complete the required documents, and make the scheduled deposit. Preparation for my stay then begins: protocols and preparation guides, insurance, recovery planning, and preparation for my return home.

During the weeks leading up to my departure, I participate in several preparation meetings with Julie, who guides me through the different stages and answers my questions.

A videoconference with the surgeon is also scheduled to review the procedure, recommendations, and my medical questions.

Voyages Renaissance remains available throughout this period to support me, facilitate communication, and help ensure I arrive prepared, well informed, organized, and with realistic expectations.

Once my project is confirmed and my reservation deposit has been received, Voyages Renaissance takes care of organizing and coordinating my trip. The team handles the necessary arrangements with the various service providers and collaborators: flights, accommodations, transportation, local travel, and coordination with the hospital and professionals involved.

Voyages Renaissance also acts as the payment coordinator for my stay. Amounts intended for the various independent service providers are collected and then paid on my behalf to the appropriate providers according to the services included in my file. I do not have to manage those payments individually.

Voyages Renaissance also coordinates details related to my air travel itinerary, including flight check-ins and, when required, wheelchair assistance for my return trip. My itinerary and local transportation are coordinated to fit seamlessly within the planned schedule of my medical stay.

The Voyages Renaissance team remains available to adapt to changes or unexpected situations that may arise.

From the moment I arrive in Mérida, the Voyages Renaissance team welcomes me at the airport and accompanies me to my accommodations. On the morning of my surgery, the team is present for my appointments, my meeting with the surgeon, and my preparation before the procedure and, when permitted by the facility, upon waking after surgery.

The team can provide updates to my loved ones, be present during my admission to the hospital and my transfer to the hotel, and conduct visits throughout my recovery.

Throughout my stay, a Voyages Renaissance team member remains available 24/7 if needed, provides daily follow-up by message or in person, coordinates my appointments with the various professionals involved, and helps me understand each stage of my stay.

After my discharge from the hospital, my recovery continues at the hotel located in close proximity to the medical facility.
A nurse conducts daily visits to provide the planned care, communicate the necessary instructions, and demonstrate certain actions or protocols established by the medical team.

The nurse remains in communication with the surgeon and Voyages Renaissance, facilitating follow-up and the transmission of information throughout my recovery.

I can focus on resting in an organized and comfortable environment, close to the professionals and the hospital should a medical assessment become necessary.

Once I return home, my journey continues. Two follow-up videoconference appointments with an independent nurse are scheduled, along with questionnaires and photographs at different moments to document my progress. Voyages Renaissance facilitates the transmission of this information to the surgeon when required.

Several months later, a follow-up meeting with the surgeon and a member of the Voyages Renaissance team allows me to review my progress.

Beyond these scheduled appointments, the team also maintains personal contact during the months following my return to help facilitate communication with the professionals involved and ensure that I know who to contact throughout my recovery.

Voyages Renaissance provides support and coordination throughout your journey. Evaluations, recommendations, medical advice, and medical decisions remain the exclusive responsibility of the independent healthcare professionals involved in your care.

Support That Connects Every Step

Between your first reflection and the months following your return home, a medical travel project involves many stages, decisions, and questions.

That is why Voyages Renaissance has developed a structured journey focused on preparation, coordination, human support, and continuity of care coordination, while collaborating with independent healthcare professionals.

Our role is to help you understand the process, prepare for each stage, and facilitate communication between the different parties involved, so that you can move forward with realistic expectations and make informed decisions throughout your journey.
